First Day of a new Year

This is my first blog so I thought to myself what better time to start a blog then the first day of the year. I really don't know what to tell you about this blog except I'm not really sure what it will be like. One thing I do know (and lets hope its more then one thing or I'll be in big trouble) is that we will be finding out together.

Most of you reading this will most likely know me already but for those of you that might be by some miraculous miracle reading this for pure entertainment I guess I should tell you a little about my self. I was raised in Kansas City KS. I joined the Air Force when I was 19. My first assignment was Germany and then I was assigned to Abilene TX. It was there that I met and got married to my wonderful wife at  the age of 23. After Abilene I was sent to Japan and had my one and only perfect daughter at the age of 28. Not that I had another one that wasn't perfect I was just saying she was an only child. After Japan I went to Shreveport LA and then my finale assignment was Midwest City OK where I bought a house in Moore OK.

At the age of 40 I retired from the military and started working on a drilling rig in Marlow OK. We worked for 7 days on and 7 days off So I lived in Moore OK the whole time. I was just gone every other week. After being in the military, being gone for a week was a walk in the park. After drilling about 5 wells  we went to Cement OK and drilled about 4 wells there. When we were finished there we went to Louisiana to a town called Mansfield. We drilled in a lot of different towns right around there for two years before I came back to OK. In Oklahoma we went to the town of Shattack and drilled there until I quit. I had been Ruff necking for 6 years and was ready to move on.

I started a new job in Enid OK working for BNSF railroad where I started training on the 20th of May 2013. For the people of Moore OK it was not going to be a good day. A F5 tornado took my house that day but my family was spared. After that I tried to press on but between learning a new job and my family being dislocated and not having anything but my car and the clothes on my back it was all too much. I decided to quit the railroad. I had rented a house in Enid but after leaving the railroad there wasn't much of a reason to stick around so I decided to fulfill a life long dream and move to the lake of the Ozarks in MO and that's exactly what I did.  Now I know that was a little choppy but I didn't want to bore you with a novel on my first day. I was just trying to catch you up so you would have a deeper insight on were I'm coming from. I promise you tomorrow will be more good. Hehe.

From my Family to yours Happy New Year. May your Blessings be Many
