Ok if you have read my blog from the beginning you know that I have already written an article on respect in relationships. If you have respect then patience will come naturally but waiting on someone else is also one of the biggest pet peeves that people have.
Getting upset does not fix the problem all though it does fell good to blow off some steam but the trick to having patience is two fold. One you need to learn how to distract yourself so you wont be thinking about it while the significant other is getting ready. The second part is don't get involved in the process if your not needed. what does that mean? Well If your wife is getting ready to go don't go in there and start pulling her shoes out of the closet unless you are asked.
Ok so this is a hard one, but it's just as much for your state of mind as it is for your relationship. So Try turning on the TV instead of sitting in the car with the car running. Not really a stroke of genius on my part but I hope it's helpful.
