Have you ever noticed that we seem to have a lot more common sense when we are Judging someone else's actions and most of the time it's in hindsight. Also their are things we won't do because we have a fear of a specific thing. Sometimes a person is perfectly safe but we judge them on our fears. Now lets just agree right now that no place is perfectly safe and if you have watched any of the Final Destination's then you know you can die anywhere.
So one thing I want to talk about is large animals. If you mess with certain animals then you are taking a big chance. First lets talk about Shamu the killer whale. IT'S IN THE NAME! Killer whales are killers, hints their names. They kill all the time. They've been know to kill other whales, sharks, dolphins and there is nothing that kills them. So lets stop acting shocked when they kill a person. people have no business swimming with or being around them. The only reason Sea world has killer whales is they make money from it. They always say they do research but the truth of it is Killer Whales don't need SeaWorld to survive. Sea World on the other hand needs Killer Whales so they can make money.
Know something that is in the news today and is in the news for the last several years is whales hitting small boat and people acting like they are surprised. Lets not get it twisted, it is our fault. It wasn't good enough for people to go out in a big boat and see the whales. No there in KAYAKS AND RUBBER DINGHIES! What in wrong with people. This latest one on the news said the tiny rubber boat was moved 5 feet are you kidding me how in the heck did this even make the news. that's the equivalent of you touching somebody shoulder with your pinky.
Do we even have to talk about lions, tigers and bears. Now don't get me wrong I love looking at tigers at the zoo when they are behind that bullet proof 6 inch window. The same kind they use for gorillas. Did you know that people are paying to go out in groups and visit the silverback gorillas in the wild. So what they do is drive out there in a big caged bus . . . NOOOOOO! They don't use a bus, they walk into the jungle and thick brush on foot. Then they get close enough to see them though that thick brush.
Now I don't have anything against horses. When I was younger I rode them several times but I don't anymore because they can kill me. Now I know there is a lot of horse lovers out there and that's fine but let's be realistic, their is no need to ride a horse unless your a rancher cutting cattle and such. If you ride horses, you have to not only worry about yourself but now you have an animal that can do anything it wants and you can't do a thing about it. If you think you can control a horse that doesn't want to be controlled you are delusional. The truth is a lot of times ranchers and farmers do things to their horses to make them behave that you would never consider doing.
Lets talk about big dogs and now you have dogs that don't feel pain. lets face it dogs are like kids. Now try to imagine trying to teach a child that doesn't speak your language, doesn't feel pain, doesn't care about what you want and may be able to kick your butt. Also you have to take into consideration that a lot of dogs will challenge you for the pack leader position once or twice a year because it's built into them. That means at any time you may have a fight on your hands you didn't expect. Now we all know that dogs can be trained and some dogs wouldn't hurt a fly. I just want you to think about this because people buy dogs like furniture. They decide they want a certain type of dog and they just go out and buy it, not even thinking about there kids and spouses.
I had a Chow Chow when my daughter was a baby. We had the dog since it was a puppy and long before we decided to have a kid. We loved that dog but it was never alone with my daughter until my daughter was a lot older. When my daughter wasn't even a year old yet her and my dog both loved to look out the back sliding glass door. One day the dog was minding it's own business looking out the window when my daughter sidestepped down the door until she got to the dog. She grabbed the dogs ear and pushed it away from her because she wanted to look out the window. The dog growled and I immediately jumped up and grabbed the dog and when I got done with that dog it never growled at her again but if I hadn't been paying attention it could have been a very different story.
OK, OK I know I know I have made some of you mad and for that I apologize but only because you are an animal that could kill me. Hehe. I hope you have taken this in stride and didn't take it too serious. We all know we have to keep an eye on those cats too. If I have made you upset please feel free to leave a comment and tell me about it. As long as you use clean language so the kids won't have issues I will leave it up.
Most of what you said I agree with. When you said dogs don't feel pain, were you joking? You must have been joking, if not
ReplyDeleteYou are seriously miss informed.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct. I should have said they can ignore the pain and still do what they want.
